M.A.C holiday brush set

So along with the lip set i got one of the three brush sets that they have. Now i was one of the people that believed that any brush can make your makeup look great. Yet after experimenting and having different brand brushes i have realized i was wrong. Now i am not saying you have to go and spend a lot of money on a brush because price does not mean good quality. There are many great brush sellers out there like Sigma, Crown Brush, MAC ,Sonia Kashuk etc. So this year when i saw the sets online i realized there was one that has a lot of the essentials. When MAC releases holiday sets they are called special edition because the packaging is different and they are travel size. Yet they are identical to the regular size ones they sell. So this set that i got had a face powder brush, a contour brush, a smudge brush a flat shader brush and a blending brush. Now i use the flat shader brush (239) on a daily basis. Every look i do involves this bad boy. another brush i constantly use from this set is the blending brush (217). The price for the set was $49.50 so in reality each brush is about $5.00. i figured that since i use those two brushes so much the would be worth the money. If your looking for a cheaper alternative i know that Kirkland released their brush sets at Costco for the holiday. Yet i think this set is great especially if you are just starting with makeup. The brushes are dense and they don't shed. Just pick whatever is right for you.

M.A.C holiday lip set

So i decided to go get some of the holiday M.A.C collection on Friday night. I was not a big fan of the eye shadows since they do contain a lot of shimmer. Yet the packaging i LOVED. The white packaging is something that i see in MAC for the first time and i have been following them for a while. So this blog will focus on one of the lip sets i purchased. They are $38 and come with a bag, lip liner, lipstick and lip gloss. The lipstick and lip gloss are regular size yet the lip liner is a mini size. I personally think that the prize for the set is good because if you purchase the lipstick and lip gloss you would be spending about $30. The pigmentation on the lipstick is a bit sheer. I did have to swipe through a couple of times to get the color on the picture above. The colors themselves are great the lip gloss is true to color and not as sticky as other glosses are. The liner is very smooth and goes on great with no streaks. There were 4 different colors that came in sets so i would check them out if ur interested. Hope this helped some of u!

Oily skin? I think not...

Alright so today's topic will be about oily skin. I have been in search of many products that can help my makeup look less shiny throughout the day. There's one thing that we should establish before i talk about this product. I am not saying that this product doesn't create any shine throughout the day but it keeps it to a minimum. I have an oily t zone and had been using a oil control primer from Bare Escentuals for a very long time. I was not a big fan of the way it made my skin feel but it did control some of the oil. As i was browsing youtube foe reviews on the Estee Lauder double wear foundation i came across a video that introduced a new product to me. This girl was using a Cargo mattifier which she swore was a great product. Now, im all for trying new products to see if things work for me. I try to say within a reasonable price range because if the product does not work i don't want to feel like i spent so much money on a product i am not a fan of. So i looked at the Sephora website to find the product and they did not carry it.One day while i was at the mall i happened to stumble across the product at Sephora inside JC penny. Since i bought the product i cannot stop using it. I have used it on different people when i do their makeup and they love it. Its very smooth to the skin. When it comes out of the tube it looks like i has a strong color pigmentation but goes on clear as it blends to your skin. I particularly use it on my t-zone only and i find that i have to touch up after a longer time period. Keep in mind this is not a primer. I apply this after my moisturizer and before my primer. Hope this helps some of you.

Estee Lauder Intensive Night Serum

So i got a sample of this night serum when i purchased the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. Now the girl at the counter gave me a bit of a skin care lecture. My skin was not moisturized as it should have been and it was a bit flaky in certain spots. I have never had great skin but decided to give this sample a try. It has been about a month and a week after day 1 of using this product and i must say its great! I feel that i don't need as much coverage as i used to because my skin is so much better. I moisturize twice a day everyday and use the night serum every night without fail. Discoloration that i use to have is gone. A lot of the dark scars also vanished. And the greatest thing is that the sample size is just about half way done. It lasts for so long. Once its completely gone i will be purchasing a full sized and even though its pricey i know it will last for a long time.
